KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives settled higher today amid the escalating war in West Asia.
At the close, the spot-month March 2026 contract rose to US$4,554.0 per troy ounce compared with US$4,531.70 per troy ounce yesterday.
The April 2026 contract improved to US$4,589.7 per troy ounce from US$4,551.70 per troy ounce, while May 2026 advanced to US$4,609.0 per troy ounce vis-à-vis US$4,571.70 per troy ounce previously.
The June, August, and September 2026 contracts also settled slightly higher at US$4,642.9 per troy ounce compared with US$4,605.60 per troy ounce.
Trading volume inched up to 22 lots from 21 lots yesterday, while open interest fell to 46 contracts from 87 contracts.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,529.15 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on March 30, 2026.
