ITALIAN AMBASSADOR, SARAWAK PREMIER DISCUSS ADVANCING TIES IN ENERGY AND AEROSPACE

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama) -- Italian Ambassador to Malaysia Raffaele Langella on Wednesday visited Kuching to strengthen relations between Italy and Sarawak, particularly in key economic sectors.

During the visit, he called on Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, where both sides held productive discussions focused on advancing cooperation in the energy and aerospace sectors, according to the Italian embassy.

“Within the context of the increasingly solid relations between our country and Malaysia, we are paying close attention to strengthening ties with the State of Sarawak -- starting with the energy and aerospace sectors” Langella stated on the sidelines of the meeting.

The Ambassador also highlighted the potential for greater collaborations between the two sides in the tourism sector.

He also spoke with great admiration of Borneo’s rich cultural heritage and expressed strong interest in strengthening artistic and academic dialogue with Sarawakian people and institutions.
