ISTANBUL, April 15 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- A high-level Pakistani delegation led by Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir is heading to Tehran to outline a plan for a second round of talks between Iran and the US, Anadolu Ajansi reported, citing Iran’s state-run media.
Carrying Washington’s new message, the delegation is expected to discuss upcoming negotiations in meetings with Iranian officials, IRIB News reported.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to receive the delegation.
The US and Iran held rare direct talks in Pakistan over the weekend aimed at ending their conflict, but the negotiations ended early Sunday without an agreement.
