KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- The China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia’s (PUCM) initiatives have contributed meaningfully to strengthening ties between the Malaysian business community and Chinese entrepreneurs in the country, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar said the organisation of its 6th China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition (CSITE), and the establishment of the Malaysia-China Digital Economy Alliance (MCDEA) today is indeed an important platform for the promotion of exchange between Malaysia and China, particularly in the smart industry, digital innovation and advanced technologies.
“I am sure this event will result in even more collaboration to foster mutual growth.
“It is one of those initiatives that help strengthen bilateral relations and advance economic growth in both countries,” he said in his message displayed on screen at the event here today.
Present were Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing and PUCM President Datuk Keith Li.
Anwar also expressed confidence that the 6th CSITE would create valuable opportunities for collaboration and mutual benefit.
“I am confident that the 6th CSITE will generate valuable opportunities for collaboration and mutual benefit, and I commend all exhibitors and participants for making the event possible,” he added.
