TEHRAN, May 15 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Tehran believes the truce with Washington, though fragile, remains in effect and that efforts toward a diplomatic resolution should continue.
"As you all know, we currently have a truce [with the United States]. Although it is unstable, we are trying to maintain it to give diplomacy a chance to find a diplomatic and negotiated solution [to the conflict]," Araghchi told a press conference in New Delhi.
“There is no military solution to the issues involving Iran,” the minister said, adding that Tehran remains open to negotiations if Washington approaches the matter seriously.
