IPOH, Nov 9 -- Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu insisted that his remarks in a video clip that has gone viral recently were taken out of context.
The Perak Bersatu chairman said what went viral was only a six minutes footage out of his 20 minutes long conversation with locals in Tanjung Piai.
"We were trying to show what Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Tanjung Piai by-election Karmaine Sardini had said before but my comment on the component party and Cabinet were raised," he said.
He said this when met by reporters at the state-level Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Casuarina@Meru Convention Centre here today.
Ahmad Faizal said it was his way of drawing the voters' attention and support for PH and its candidate.
In the video, Ahmad Faizal is seen discussing with a group of people on how he has to face DAP over certain issues.
