LONDON, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad Monday visited Imperial College London, one of the world's leading universities.
Apart from briefed about the university, Dr Mahathir was also given a briefing on an electric vehicle initiative, which is jointly undertaken by Imperial College and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
At the university's Turbochargers Group Lab, Dr Mahathir was also briefed on the latest engineering capabilities.
Dr Mahathir also met Sir James Dyson, billionaire British inventor of the bagless vacuum cleaner during the visit.
He also met several Malaysian students who are studying at the university.
Imperial College currently houses over 16,000 students from over 130 countries, including over 500 from Malaysia.
