KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 – FGV Holdings Bhd is looking at minimising its role as a seller of crude palm oil (CPO) and plans to move forward by looking at adding value to the downstream sector, says Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid.
He said the plantation company should seriously look at what else it can further do in the downstream sector, which would simultaneously help reduce the commodity’s inventory and push up prices.
“The government has decided to implement the B10 programme which will help deplete the oversupply,” he told reporters after the announcement of FGV's third quarter financial results here today.
