KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 (Bernama) – The Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) today launched the PAM Student Award 2019 to recognise and reward outstanding Malaysian talents amongst the upcoming batch of architectural graduates.
PAM in a statement said the award, which aimed at promoting innovation, merit and excellence among the youth in the field of architecture, is open to all Malaysians who graduated last year.
“There will be two categories of the award, namely the PAM Silver Medal for Master and Bachelor of Architecture graduates, while the PAM Bronze Medal for Bachelor of Science of Architecture graduates or its equivalent.
“The award winners will be selected through a rigorous two-stage selection process of their architectural portfolios with interviews by a panel of experts,” the statement said.
Submissions for the PAM Student Award will be open from Jan 10 onwards and the closing date for Stage One submissions will be on March 8.
The presentation ceremony will take place in June 2019, the statement said.
The PAM Student Award was introduced in 2012 and is the highest accolade for Malaysian architectural graduates and students by the national organisation for architects.
