KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 (Bernama) -- A baby boy, with the umbilical cord still intact, was found alive in a rubbish bin in front of a convenience store in Pandan Indah early this morning.
Ampang Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Zaid Hassan said the infant was found by a security guard when he was patrolling around the area at 6 am.
“A dog belonging to the guard suddenly started barking out loud which led him to the rubbish bin and the man heard the cries of a baby. When he checked, there was a baby and he quickly called the police for help,” Mohd Zaid said in a statement today.
The baby was sent to the Ampang Hospital for a medical examination which found no injuries on his body, he said, adding the police were tracking down the persons responsible.
