MELAKA, Oct 11 -- Home Affairs Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is conferred the Darjah Utama Negeri Melaka (D.U.N.M), which carries the title Datuk Seri Utama, and heads the list of 566 recipients of state awards, medals and honours in conjunction with the 81st Birthday Anniversary Celebration of Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob.
Melaka State Secretary Datuk Hasim Hasan told a media conference at the Kompleks Seri Negeri, Ayer Keroh here today that Muhyiddin was the sole recipient of the D.U.N.M. this year and one of the 165 recipients on the first day of the investiture this Saturday.
A total of 247 individuals would receive state awards, medals and honours on the second session on Sunday (Oct 13) while the third session has been scheduled for Nov 4 with 154 recipients.
Hasim said 13 recipients would receive the Darjah Gemilang Seri Melaka (D.G.S.M) which carries the title Datuk Seri namely the Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir, Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayub, he (Hasim) himself, and the Secretary-General of the Housing and Local Government Ministry Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek.
A member of the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia Tan Sri Rashpal Singh, Court of Appeals Judge Datuk Kamaluddin Md Said, Chief Executive Officer of MAMEE Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd Datuk Pang Tee Nam, Principal of GB Architect Datuk Giles Bien Chia Hsui, Chief Executive Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad Amir Hamzah Azizan.
Lonnix (M) Sdn Bhd director Piong Teck Min, Gastroenterology Medical Specialist at Assunta Hospital Datuk Seri Dr L.Suresh Raj, TOBE Property managing director Teo Shiok Fu, and the chairman of One Belt One Road (Chamber of Commerce) Tan Thian Lai.
Hasim said eight people would be conferred the Darjah Cemerlang Seri Melaka (D.C.S.M) carrying the title Datuk Wira namely the Melaka High Court 1 Judge Datuk Ahmad Nasfy Yasin, Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Marzuki Yahya, Deputy Works Minister Mohd Anuar Mohd Tahir.
Melaka State Government Mufti Datuk Abdul Halim Tawil, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Prof Dr Raha Abdul Rahim, City Fair and Amusement Business Manager Liau Kim Choon, Syarikat Al-Khatiri Sdn Bhd Director Datuk Shaikh Abdul Halim Shaikh Salah Marie AlKhatiri, and Bunga Pertiwi Sdn Bhd Director S. S. Bulwant Singh.
Nine people would be conferred the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (D.M.S.M) which carries the title Datuk namely the Melaka Executive Councillor for Education, Human Capital, Science and Innovation Noor Effandi Ahmad; Melaka Exco for Women, Welfare and Rural Development Ginie Lim Siew Lin; State Exco for Agriculture, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Agro-Based Industry Norhizam Hassan Baktee.
Director-General of the Survey and Mapping Department Dr Azhari Mohamed, Deputy Director-General (Operations) of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency Vice-Admiral Ibrahim Mohamed, Political Secretary to the Melaka Chief Minister Ashraf Mukhlis Minghat.
Director-General of the Drainage and Irrigation Department of Malaysia Abdullah Isnin, Melaka PKR chairman Halim Bachik, and the Executive Chairman of G3 Global Berhad Wan Khalik Wan Muhammad.
Hasim said 77 individuals would receive the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (D.P.S.M) which carries the title Datuk including the Klebang State Assemblyman Gue Teck, Malaysia’s ambassador to Indonesia Zainal Abidin Bakar, Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Kenya Loh Seck Tiong, Director of the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Dr Kamarudin Min.
Melaka Hospital Director Dr Hatijah Mohd Tan, District Officer of the Melaka Tengah District and Land Office Shamsul Ambia Abdul Aziz, Melaka Syariah Court Judge Mohd Nadzri Abdul Rahman, Melaka Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) Director, Md Azhan Samat @ Limat, Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah (MBMB) Mayor Mansor Sudin.
Deputy Director-General of the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Sharazat Ahmad, Melaka Foundation General Manager Ahamad Kamel Ismail, and Service Division Director of the Public Service Department (JPA) Abd Shukor Mahmood.
In addition, 49 individuals will receive the Darjah Seri Melaka (D.S.M), 27 people will receive the Bintang Cemerlang Melaka (B.C.M), 123 people receive the Bintang Khidmat Terpuji (B.K.T), 147 people will receive the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K), Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (P.B.M) 104 recipients and eight individuals will receive the Pingat Khidmat Lama (P.K.L).
