COVID: NEW CASES RISE TO 4,446, WITH HIGHEST CASES IN SELANGOR- HEALTH DG

KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 -- New COVID-19 cases are on the rise again, hitting 4,446 cases in the past 24 hours compared to 3,780 cases yesterday.

The additional cases today bring the overall positive cases in Malaysia to 474,556.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a tweet said during the period Selangor reported the highest infection with 1,650 cases followed by Sarawak (433) and Johor (391).

Kelantan recorded 343 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur (297), Negeri Sembilan (243), Kedah (236), Perak (203), Terengganu (201), Penang (159), Pahang (139), Melaka (80), Sabah (60), Putrajaya (11) while Labuan and Perlis did not have any new cases.
