DAIBOCHI HAVE UNTIL OCT 25 TO CONSIDER SCIENTEX'S TAKEOVER OFFER
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 -- Daibochi Bhd has received the offer document with regards to its unconditional voluntary takeover by Scientex Bhd today.
The document was issued by UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd on behalf of Scientex, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Daibochi said the offer document sets out the details, terms and conditions of the offer, which has been despatched to its shareholders and warrantholders.
It said the offer is open for acceptance until 5 pm on Monday, Oct 25, 2021, unless extended in accordance with the provisions of the rules on takeovers, mergers and compulsory acquisitions no later than two days before the closing date.
To recap, Scientex has made an offer to take Daibochi private and has proposed to acquire the remaining 124.78 million shares or 38.12 per cent of Daibochi shares not owned by Scientex and 95.8 per cent of the warrants for RM345.3 million.
