INFORMA MARKETS, MWA SIGN MOU FOR ASIAWATER EXPO AND FORUM

KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- Informa Markets today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a smart partnership with the Malaysian Water Association (MWA) for the upcoming ASIAWATER Expo and Forum 2022.

Informa Markets Malaysia chairman Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Azumi Mohamed said the MoU signifies a strong and strategic partnership between the two entities that are passionate in championing the water and wastewater industry through trade exhibitions and conferences, as well as commercial and educational activities.

"MWA with its lead networking and staffed by professionals, water engineers and others is in a position to help us achieve better content and better quality in our Water Series of shows,” he said at the MoU signing ceremony here.

He said as the organiser of the ASIAWATER Expo and Forum, the company remains committed to the advancement of the region’s water and wastewater industry.

The MoU was signed by Informa Markets Malaysia general manager Gerard Leeuwenburgh and MWA president Dr Mohmad Asari Daud.

Mohmad Asari said the signing of the MoU is an important milestone as Malaysia will be the exposition hub of expertise and products for the water and wastewater industry through the event.

"Through our new smart partnership with Informa Markets, this will further strengthen MWA's mission, which is to promote synergy and enhance knowledge and good practice within the Malaysian water and wastewater industries.

"By working closely with Informa Markets via the ASIAWATER Expo and Forum platform, we can channel our knowledge and expertise in running and conducting high-level conferences and seminars in the efforts to equip local players with the right knowledge and skills," he said.

ASIAWATER 2022, to be held from Dec 7 to 9 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will showcase state-of-the-art water technology as well as share industry solutions and best practices.

With the participation of over 2,000 local and international brands from 32 countries and regions, the 12th edition of the expo this year expects to receive more than 17,000 live and online trade visitors and delegates.
