VIEWSONIC CORP has launched two new series of the latest third generation LED projectors, namely, the LS500WHE and LS550WHE, as well as ViewSonic Hybrid Ecosystem ViewBoard Interactive display as corporate office and classroom solutions.

In a statement, country manager of ViewSonic Malaysia Chaw Foo Hong said the company is ready to support Malaysia's educational system change in 2022 especially after the announcement of the move to abolish the Form Three Assessment (PT3) and implement the school-based assessment (PBS).

"Teachers need to use their creativity to teach a variety of subjects so that students will have an enjoyable learning experience in a practical way. ViewSonic EdTech Solutions offers various tools and features to create activities in class," he said.

The new LED projector is all about offering the best of the best, which comes with high brightness at 3,000 American National Standards Institute (ANSI) lumens and an energy-efficient design that promises less power consumption, a longer lifespan and improved sustainability.

XIMPLE, a Singapore-based e-commerce platform, has expanded its services to the Malaysian market to revolutionise the way consumers shop, own and dispose of electronics while accelerating local business growth.

AGMO HOLDINGS BHD has sealed an underwriting agreement with Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd in conjunction with its initial public offering (IPO) exercise on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

In a statement, the home-grown digital solutions and application development specialist said Kenanga Investment has been appointed as Agmo’s principal adviser, underwriter, sponsor and placement agent for the IPO exercise.

HSBC BANK MALAYSIA BHD has appointed Karel Doshi as the new head of Commercial Banking (CMB) in Malaysia to lead the commercial banking franchises in Malaysia, servicing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), mid-markets, large corporates and international subsidiaries effective July 1, 2022.

In a statement, chief executive officer Omar Siddiq said Doshi will lead the commercial banking business in Malaysia and continue to drive our ambition for growth, while deepening HSBC’s presence in the local SME and mid-market space and capturing the increasing proportion of international trade flows into Malaysia. 

Karel will report regionally to head of Commercial Banking, South and Southeast Asia Amanda Murphy, and in Malaysia to Omar.

SERSOL BHD has today entered into a heads of agreement with MJets Ltd with the intention to form a joint venture company (JVC) by becoming shareholders in private limited companies to be registered in Malaysia and Indonesia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said under the agreement, the scope of the JVC will be in the business of private aviation, business aviation, aircraft handling, aircraft management, aircraft charter sales, private jet terminal and other aviation related activities, within six months from the effective date.

"The agreement scope is also to acquire assigned plot of land or landed space in these airports and applying for all relevant business licences and governmental approvals to operate a private jet facility at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) within 12 months from the effective date or any further extension as mutually agreed by both parties.

“It is also agreed to expand the same partnership to Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport and Ngurah RaiInternational Airport within 12 months from the effective date of SZB operations or any further extension as mutually agreed by both parties,” it said.
