MUDAJAYA BAGS CONSTRUCTION EARTHWORKS WORTH RM104 MLN
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) — Mudajaya Corporation Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mudajaya Group Bhd, has accepted a letter of award to undertake the preparation and construction of earthworks as well as associated works in Gurun at Kedah, valued at RM104 million.
The group said work for the designated platform level and access roads to the project site at Mukim Gurun and Bandar Gurun in Daerah Kuala Muda was for a 1200 megawatt combined cycle gas power plant.
“The project is targeted to be completed by August 2023 with a construction period of 14 months from the date of the letter of award,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
It said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022 onwards.
“None of the directors or major shareholders of Mudajaya or persons connected with them has any direct or indirect interest in the project,” it added.
