CIMB NAMED BEST INVESTMENT BANK IN MALAYSIA AT EUROMONEY AWARDS

KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- CIMB Investment Bank Bhd (CIMB) has been named the Best Investment Bank in Malaysia at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2022, receiving the accolade for the ninth time since 2008. 

In a statement today, CIMB said it recorded the most investment banking transactions in Malaysia, completing six per cent more deals than the next competitor and recording the highest deal value during the award’s review period of April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

This included equity capital markets (ECM), debt capital markets (DCM), and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) deals.

CIMB Group co-chief executive officer (group wholesale banking) Novan Amirudin said it looks forward to further building on its track record of innovative solutions and excellence in investment banking through its leading wholesale banking franchise and ASEAN network.

He said CIMB is grateful for the continued trust and support from clients across a wide spectrum of industries.

CIMB Investment Bank chief executive officer Jefferi Hashim said the award is a testament to continued leadership in DCM, ECM and M&A in Malaysia, as the bank continues to provide depth of expertise to clients across ASEAN in executing creative solutions for a wide range of client goals.
