CAELY HOLDINGS BHD CHANGES NAME TO CLASSITA HOLDINGS BHD
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia Bhd has announced the name change of lingerie-maker Caely Holdings Bhd to Classita Holdings Bhd.
In a statement today, Bursa Malaysia said the company’s stock short names would be changed from Caely to Classita, and its warrants from Caely-WB to Classita-WB.
It said the company’s securities would be traded and quoted under the new names with effect from 9 am on Tuesday, Dec 13, 2022.
Bursa Malaysia said the stock number remains unchanged.
Classita said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Dec 7, 2022 that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) unfroze the operational accounts of the company and its subsidiaries after completing its investigation.
The company noted in the filing that no charges were made.
In April 2022, the MACC froze all operational bank accounts of the company and its subsidiaries in connection with several suspicious transactions.
The company was being investigated over the alleged misappropriation of RM30.55 million by its wholly-owned subsidiary Caely (M) Sdn Bhd.
In a Bursa filing on Nov 28, 2022, the company proposed to change its name to Classita Holdings Bhd to create a new corporate identity for the company’s existing and future undertakings.
