SIRIM SIGNS MOA WITH HANNAN MEDISPA ON SUPPLY OF BIO PINEMASS EXTRACT
SHAH ALAM, March 10 (Bernama)-- Sirim Bhd, the country's leading research and technology agency, is supplying 1,000 kilogrammes of bio pinemass extract to Hannan Medispa Sdn Bhd to develop skin care products based on green technology.
SIRIM Group president and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Ahmad Sabirin Arshad said the bio pinemass extract, produced through the fermentation process from pineapple waste and pure probiotics, will be supplied to Hannan Medispa for a year starting this May.
To that effect, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by SIRIM and Hannan Medispa at the SIRIM Headquarters today.
Ahmad Sabirin signed the MoA on behalf of SIRIM, while Hannan Medispa was represented by its founder and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Hannan Mohamad Yusuf.
"This joint venture enables SIRIM to provide high-quality cosmetic and skin care product safety assessments to Hannan Medispa, including extract quality tests as well as skin and eye irritation tests," said Ahmad Sabirin in a statement today.
At the same event, SIRIM also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC), represented by its chief executive officer Dr. Liew Kan Ern.
