ALOR SETAR, July 17 (Bernama) — Perodua's authorised distributor Triumph Point (M) Sdn Bhd spent RM10 million to develop a vehicle sales, service and spare parts (3S) centre in Titi Gajah near here.

Triumph Point director Datuk Ismail Lall Khan said the one-storey building with an area of 2,500 square metres started operating since last March and offers more comfortable facilities and services for Perodua customers.

"The construction of this building was delayed due to the previous Movement Control Order (MCO), but now this building has finally been completed with various facilities provided including a surau that can accommodate up to 100 people at a time.

“Previously we operated in Taman Pandan and moved here since January this year before this 3S centre started operations in March. This 3S centre has been recognised according to the new operating standards and that certainly gives us encouragement at Triumph Point,” he said at a press conference after the inauguration ceremony of the building which was officiated by the Raja Muda of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin here today.

Also present were Kedah deputy secretary Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mustaffa, Alor Setar mayor Datuk Mohd Yusri Md Daud and Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd human resources director Zarina Mansor.

Ismail added that with the centre’s strategic location, he hopes to further increase sales in addition to providing the best service to Perodua users around the city.

He said his company managed to achieve vehicle sales of 2,488 units last year and aims to increase that number this year and next year.

"Perodua sets quotas depending on sales performance, but of course we as authorised distributor expect more sales. We hope to achieve sales of 2,500 units or more," he said.
