Malaysia Targets 1.5 Mln Visitors, Trade & Investment Worth RM13 Bln Via Participation In World Expo 2025 Osaka

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- Malaysia aims to attract 1.5 million visitors and generate RM13 billion in trade and investment through its participation in the Malaysia Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo next year.

Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said that this is not only the Ministry's mission but also a national mission that will bring significant benefits to the country.

In a post on Facebook, following the official visit of the Prime Minister to Seoul, South Korea, he visited Osaka, Japan, to see the Malaysia Pavilion on Yumeshima Island, the venue for the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

"With the construction now reaching 73.91 per cent, the Malaysia Pavilion is designed to showcase the country’s heritage, spirit of innovation, and commitment to sustainability, under the theme 'Weaving a Future in Harmony’.

"This Pavilion will serve as a symbol of unity between tradition and technology and will be one of the main attractions at the Expo," he added, expressing confidence that the Malaysia Pavilion will captivate millions of visitors and introduce the country’s uniqueness and strengths to the global stage.

The World Expo 2025 will be held in Osaka, Japan for six months from April 13 to Oct 13, 2025.
