Maybank Asset Management Partners With Fidelity International To Launch Multi-Asset Fund

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd (MAM Malaysia) has launched the MAMG Alpha Capital & Income Opportunities Fund to enhance diversification and deliver both income and capital growth. 

In a statement, MAM Malaysia said the fund, which feeds into Fidelity International’s “FAST - Maybank Alpha Capital & Income Opportunities Fund”, offers investors broad access to a dynamic investment universe for greater diversification benefits.  

The fund aims to deliver capital growth through a broad investment spectrum, utilising Maybank’s strategic asset allocation to navigate market cycles and Fidelity’s dynamic tactical asset allocation to generate alpha and manage downside risk.

“The fund is designed to generate positive returns across various market conditions while providing downside protection in challenging markets.

“It offers two options: accumulation for long-term capital growth through reinvested dividends, and income for those seeking a regular monthly dividend stream,” it said.

MAM Malaysia chief executive officer Hisham Hamzah said the fund is designed to combine global expertise, delivering market-leading opportunities that enhance wealth and also protect different market cycles.

“Available exclusively to Maybank clients, this fund demonstrates our commitment to delivering investment solutions that align with their long-term financial objectives,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maybank Community Financial Services group chief executive officer Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar said Maybank is the first local bank to offer a global multi-asset fund that leverages their in-house strategic asset allocation expertise. 

As the exclusive distributor of the fund, he stated that the bank can offer its clients customised investment solutions that provide diversified exposure and enhanced income opportunities, aligning seamlessly with Maybank’s mission to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.

“This fund has already garnered significant interest in Singapore, reaching a size of S$100 million as of end-October 2024.

The base currency of the fund is in US dollar and is offered in six classes denominated in different currencies, namely the US dollar, ringgit, and ringgit (hedged). 

The minimum investment amount is US$1,000 for the US dollar class and RM1,000 for the ringgit and ringgit (hedged) class.
