KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 (Bernama) -- More than 350 influential leaders from the government and industry are expected to attend the REHDA Institute CEO Series 2025 conference next month to discuss global real estate trends and actionable strategies for driving Malaysia’s economic resilience and sustainable development.

The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (REHDA) said the economic and  business conference, to be held on Jan 16, 2025, in Petaling Jaya, will feature notable thought leaders from Malaysia as well as speakers from the region.

The international speakers will be flying in from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Australia, and Singapore, it said in a statement today.

Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying and Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong are scheduled to deliver keynote addresses, REHDA said.

According to the statement, the annual event serves as a strategic platform for decision-makers across the banking, finance, manufacturing, construction, and real estate industries to address Malaysia’s key economic challenges and opportunities.

The 2025 conference’s agenda is designed to provide practical insights on these topics: leveraging policy reforms to widen tax revenues and attract high-value investments, strengthening Malaysia’s role in global markets, and fostering innovation in high-growth sectors such as digital disruption in construction and real estate development.

The one-day event will feature a line-up of thought-provoking sessions, including insights from prominent policymakers and industry leaders, a post-Budget 2025 outlook, projections on the real estate market, and discussions on innovations shaping construction and emerging technologies.

A special focus will also be given to Malaysia’s role as ASEAN chair 2025, emphasising its leadership in fostering regional economic collaboration and addressing challenges such as trade tensions and evolving international policies.
