LUNDU (Sarawak), March 4 (Bernama) -- Air Borneo, the state-owned airline of Sarawak, is finalising its branding, which includes developing a logo that will soon be subject to a public competition.
Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin said the airline will officially adopt its name once the transition process is fully completed.
“The transition to Air Borneo is expected to take some time and a formal announcement will be made once everything is in place.
“Soon, we will meet with the Malaysian Aviation Group and MASwings management to discuss further steps in the airline’s development,” he said during a press conference after visiting the Aerospace Academy at Centexs Lundu here, today.
Lee also stated that the maintenance bay for MASwings is still located in Kota Kinabalu, with ongoing discussions regarding its plans.
Meanwhile, he said the logo competition, which will be launched soon, provides an opportunity for the public to contribute to the airline’s identity.
“The Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak will release an official statement regarding this competition, inviting the public to contribute ideas for the logo,” Lim said.
