TAMPIN, June 21 (Bernama) -- A Bangladesh man was killed when a hole he was in suffered a cave-in and buried him at the construction site of Taman Regent Gemencheh near here this morning.

Tamping district police chief Supt Amiruddien Sariman said the victim’s co-workers at the site rescued him but the victim, 29, was confirmed dead at the Gemencheh health clinic where he was receiving treatment at 11.25 am.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was in the seven-feet deep hole, measuring five wide, that was just dug to conduct some sewage pipe installation for the housing project when the cave-in occurred,” he said in a statement today, adding that the walls of the hole had collapsed all of a sudden and covering the victim to his head.
