SIBU, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- A man died after the car he was driving skidded off the road at KM7, Jalan Oya-Dalat in Mukah early today.
A spokesperson for the Sarawak Operations Centre of the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said the victim has been identified as Chung Marn Cherk, with a home address at Jalan Rubber Barat in Kuching.
According to him, following an emergency call at 3.37 am, a team from the Mukah fire and rescue station was dispatched to the location of the accident, approximately 33 km from the station.
"We found a Toyota Rush vehicle had skidded off the road…and the victim had been ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Police sent the victim's body to Mukah Hospital before the fire brigade arrived," he said in a statement today.
