SHAH ALAM, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- The investigation into the attack on the son of Pandan Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has been handed over to the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, according to Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar.
He said the case had been transferred to federal police because it required a more comprehensive and centralised investigation.
“Members of the public with any information related to this case are urged to channel it to the nearest police station to assist with the investigation.
“The cooperation of the community is greatly appreciated to ensure justice and transparency in the investigation process,” he said in a statement today.
Last Wednesday, police confirmed that Rafizi’s son was attacked at about 2 pm in the pick-up and drop-off area of a shopping mall in Putrajaya.
Rafizi, a former deputy president of PKR, alleged that the attack involved two men dressed in black and wearing helmets who were on a motorcycle, with one of them dragging his son before pricking him with a syringe.
