KUANTAN, April 3 (Bernama) -- Police arrested a 42-year-old local man and seized more than one kilogramme of methamphetamine in a raid in Charuk Puting, Temerloh early yesterday morning.
Temerloh district police chief ACP Mohd Nasyim Bahrun in a statement today said the raid was carried out by a Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division team of the Temerloh district police headquarters (IPD) at about 5 am under Op Tapis based on information received.
"Police seized four pink plastic packets suspected to be methamphetamine weighing 1,024.63 grammes and seized a Honda HRV vehicle with an estimated total value of RM112,252.50," he said.
He said a check with the Criminal Records Management System found that the suspect had several past records related to drug abuse offences.
"The man has also been remanded for five days at the Temerloh IPD lockup to assist in investigations under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he said.
