KOTA BHARU, April 4 (Bernama) -- The Air Unit of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) today conducted a medical evacuation (Medevac) flight for a firefighter, who is receiving treatment at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR), Klang in Selangor, due to a stroke.
In a statement, the Tanah Merah Hospital (HTM) said the patient, Muhamad Iffan Abdul Ghani, 31, was airlifted in a JBPM helicopter at 9 am today, with the help of the nine firefighters and three health workers.
"Muhamad Iffan. who had been bedridden for three months in HTAR, was accompanied by his wife, Romini Md Hassan, 32, during the mercy flight operation before arriving at the Tanah Merah Hospital at 11.13 am," said the statement.
HTM also records its appreciation to all parties involved, especially the Selangor JBPM Air Unit, Tanah Merah JBPM, Machang JBPM, representatives from the HTAR medical team, and representatives from the Tanah Merah district police headquarters (IPD) for their cooperation and support.
