KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Special Dialogue V (PSD V) 2026 continues to strengthen national security by bringing together agencies, industry leaders, and experts to advance security discussions to a dynamic level.
Bukit Aman Management Department director CP Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid said the dialogue series, organised by PDRM with Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd, demonstrates the police's commitment to strengthening partnerships among agencies and stakeholders to address increasingly complex and borderless threats.
"Since its inception, the PSD series has evolved from a small-scale platform into a high-profile national initiative.
"This transformation is reflected in its restructuring into a large-scale, two-day annual format, expanding the scope for discussion and empowering the involvement of all PDRM departments alongside national and international collaborators," he said in a statement today.
He said the PSD V aims to serve as a leading national security platform, strengthen cooperation between government and industry, and mainstream knowledge exchange and the adoption of new technologies.
Abdul Aziz added that the programme seeks to drive innovation in security systems through a coordinated approach.
Four core PDRM departments will lead the conferences and forums, namely the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID), and the Internal Security and Public Order Department (JKDNKA).
"Discussions will cover a spectrum of contemporary security issues, including cybercrime, financial fraud, drug trafficking, emerging security threats, public order management, and the integration of technology in modern policing," he said.
The programme will include an exhibition highlighting the latest technology and innovation in law enforcement and internal security, serving as a hub for technology transfer and enhancing PDRM’s operational capabilities.
PSD V 2026, scheduled to be hed between May 12 and 13, is expected to attract 200 exhibitors from 10 countries, 3,000 trade and government visitors, 200 VIP guests, and over 100 speakers across 30 main sessions.
According to Abdul Aziz, the event reflects the country’s commitment to security through collaboration, innovation, and a focus on excellence.
