After the meeting, Anwar is scheduled to attend a meet‑and‑greet and visit Masjid Gong Chapa here at 1.30 pm.

Meanwhile, Anwar said the discussion session also focused on pressing issues faced by the people, including efforts to reduce flood risks through improvements to drainage, drainage systems and river banks.

"Alhamdulillah, I have chaired the Pasir Puteh district development meeting to review the progress of projects and implementation issues under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).

"I emphasise that every plan cannot just remain on paper, but must be expressed through thorough, efficient and effective actions for the benefit of the people," he said via his official Facebook account today.

He said security issues were also not sidelined with emphasis on the installation of solar lights and closed-circuit cameras, in addition to the need to upgrade infrastructure, strengthen the socio-economy and expand the welfare network.

"In this regard, I suggest that a comprehensive and integrated action plan be drawn up involving all local authorities, state and federal governments in addressing major issues such as health, education and food security.

"May all these efforts be facilitated and blessed, thus being able to raise the standard of living and enhance the overall well-being of the people of Kelantan, God willing," he said.
