KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected across seven states and Labuan until 2 am, according to a warning issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
MetMalaysia, in a statement, said the affected areas in Kedah are Langkawi, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang and Kuala Muda, while in Perak, it covers Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim.
Similar weather conditions are also expected in Pahang, involving Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh and Bera, as well as in Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu) and Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat).
The warning issued for Sarawak covers Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Mukah), Kapit (Kapit), Bintulu (Tatau), Miri and Limbang, while in Sabah, it involves the Interior areas (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Keningau) and Sandakan (Tongod).
