Raja Muda Of Perlis Calls For Knowledgeable, Integrity-driven , United, Self-reliant Society

ARAU, May 17 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said the strength of a state should not be measured solely through physical development, but also through the formation of a knowledgeable, integrity-driven, united and self-reliant society.

In this regard, His Highness called on the people of Perlis to continue empowering themselves with a competitive spirit, a first-class mindset in all actions and strong values of integrity to ensure the state continues producing a progressive, knowledgeable and resilient society capable of facing current challenges.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin stressed that the state’s development must be implemented comprehensively, encompassing the welfare of the people, education, healthcare, economy and public facilities so that the benefits of progress can be enjoyed fairly and inclusively by all levels of society.

“His Highness also emphasised the importance of strengthening unity among the people, preserving customs and manners, and instilling noble values in community life to ensure that Perlis remains peaceful, harmonious and prosperous,” according to a statement issued by Istana Arau today.

According to the statement, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin expressed these sentiments in his loyalty speech when representing the Perlis royal family during the state investiture ceremony held in conjunction with the 83rd birthday celebration of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, at Istana Arau today.

The Raja Muda of Perlis also prayed that Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin and the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, would continue to be blessed with good health, peace of mind and remain under the protection and blessings of Allah SWT.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail headed the list of 24 award recipients at today's investiture ceremony. He was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Setia Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (S.S.S.J), which carries the title Datuk Seri Diraja.

Also conferred the S.S.S.J was the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and the Tengku Puteri Mahkota of Perlis, Datuk Seri Datin Paduka Hajah Sharifah Fazira Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar was awarded the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (S.P.M.P), which carries the title Datuk Seri.
