KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 -- UEM Edgenta Berhad has contributed assistance in the form of basic necessities and food to 700 asnaf (tithe recipient) families around Pantai Dalam here, today.
UEM Edgenta in a statement said the company had also carried out sanitation and disinfection works at six mosques and surau covering Masjid Ar-Rahah, Masjid Al-Ikhlasiah, Masjid Jamek Al-Khadijiah, Masjid Ar-Rahman, Surau An-Nur Hidayah and Surau Al-Makmur Sri Pantai yesterday.
The company also contributed face masks and hand sanitiser to the mosques and surau to ensure their supply of such essential items are sufficient to comply with the standard operating procedure.
UEM Edgenta chief people officer Razman Ismail said Pantai Dalam residents are among the main contributors to the development of the social and economic ecosystem in Klang Valley and the corporate social responsibility programme was the company’s initiative to assist those affected by COVID-19.
“All stakeholders in Pantai Dalam played an important role in ensuring the resilience of the local community especially those residing around this area so that they can continue with their daily activities working from home or at their workplaces.
“We hope this assistance can ease the burden of families and the general public in this challenging time,” he said in a contribution presentation ceremony at Ar-Rahah Mosque today.
