Golden Ride Convoy to enhance cooperation between KL and other cities

ARAU, Jan 22 -- The Golden Ride Convoy which is organised in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee celebration of Kuala Lumpur will enhance cooperation between the federal capital and other cities through the upcoming city adoption programme.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim said a total of 130 people participated in the three-day convoy which is scheduled to end tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur.

“We hope this effort (convoy) will be the starting point for the city adoption programme that will be announced later,” he told reporters after presenting food baskets to the asnaf at Pusat Khidmat Kampung Kubang Gajah, here, today.

Also present was Federal Territories Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias.

Shahidan, who is also Arau Member of Parliament, said the second edition of the convoy would be heading to Johor Bahru while the third edition to Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang.
