Wan Azizah launches book on personality

SHAH ALAM, March 18 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister’s wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail launched a book entitled “Pesona Personaliti: Seni Mengenal Diri dan Mengubah Peribadi” written by Muna ‘Izzah Fadzil here today.

Wan Azizah, in her speech, said publications of such works and manuscripts need to be increased to encourage readers to improve themselves, in addition to cultivating good values in the society.

She also urged the public to play an active role as agents of change in the community.

“Spread information and awareness on assistance provided, especially for women, such as entrepreneurship, job search, psychosocial aid, legal advice and so on.

“We want to ensure that all levels of society, particularly women, receive appropriate assistance. However, what is important is the awareness and readiness of every individual to seek help, especially in cases involving safety and life, such as domestic violence, abuse, neglect and mental health,” she said.

Meanwhile, Muna ‘Izzah said the book was written based on experiences and knowledge she gained since young and while serving as a lawyer and image consultant.

“The grieving phase after losing my mother and sibling in the last two years is also the reason why I wrote this book... to bounce back stronger,” she said.
