Roslan said the sponsorship was for the organisation of the programmes and activities during HAWANA 2023 celebrations from May 27 to 29 in Ipoh, Perak.

"We will also hold CSR activities with groups of journalists who are less fortunate, or those having health problems as well as journalists who are bed-ridden, homeless or receiving treatment," he said.

Roslan said Public Bank had been sponsoring and supporting the organisation of HAWANA for three consecutive years.

“Alhamdulillah, so far we have received sponsorship not only from Public Bank, but also from other sectors. God willing, we will see greater awareness about the responsibilities and great role of media practitioners and journalists in Malaysia," he added.

He also welcomed sponsorship from corporate sectors and companies in Malaysia in conjunction with the organisation of HAWANA 2023.
