KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has channelled RM20,000 to Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Selangor (RACTAR) in conjunction with the agency’s Budget 2024 Roadshow at the welfare home.
The IRB said that the donation was to replace and repair the roof of the organisation’s house to ensure the welfare and comfort of those staying at RACTAR.
“This donation also covers daily management expenses and basic equipment for the children in the home,” the IRB said in a statement today.
According to the IRB, the donation is also the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for 30 children at RACTAR.
“Apart from functioning as a platform to realise the goals of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to carry out CSR programmes for target groups in Selangor, it also aims to build a positive image of the IRB while expressing concern for those who need help,” it said, adding that the donation was presented by Deputy Finance Minister II Steven Sim Chee Keong.
Sim said in the same statement that the CSR programme not only strengthens the relationship between the government and the community, but it is a continuous commitment to ensure that no group is left out in the government’s efforts to formulate a comprehensive budget.
