"Construction was started on July 1, 2021, and it will be fully completed on March 1, 2023, as part of projects aimed at utilising the open space in Taman D.R Seenivasagam, situated next to the artificial lake.

"We want it to be a focal point for music and art lovers to promote performing arts, as well as to become a new destination for local and foreign tourists," he said.

Rumaizi further explained that MBI has enhanced the vicinity of the Amphitheater, particularly the island area facing it, to create a more comfortable and secure environment for visitors during the nighttime.

"The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) allocated RM250,000 for lighting upgrades.

"The Ministry of Local Government Development, through the National Landscape Department, allocated an additional RM500,000. While MBI allocated RM250,000 for landscaping and overall lighting of Taman D.R Seenivasagam to attract more visitors," he said.
