Schneider Electric Appoints Pang Xingjian As New Zone President For East Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- Schneider Electric has appointed Pang Xingjian as its new Zone President for East Asia effective Jan 1, 2024.

Schneider Electric, in a statement today, said Pang will operate from the regional headquarters in Singapore, Pulse@Kallang and lead growth in the East Asia Zone, focusing on sustainability, energy management and next-generation automation.

It said Pang’s expertise will support Schneider Electric in its efforts to bolster Malaysia's manufacturing sector in integrating sustainable measures into growth strategies, in line with the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 and the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).

Schneider Electric Country President for Malaysia Eugene Quah said with Pang's extensive experience, the company is poised to strengthen its collective effort within the region.

“We are honoured to have Pang on our leadership team at Schneider Electric. We are poised to navigate the complexities and seize the opportunities to advance our mission to make the most of our energy and resources, bridging progress and sustainability for all.

“We aim to strengthen our efforts towards industrial resilience and contribute to addressing environmental challenges in the country. This involves supporting our customers in enhancing energy efficiencies, embracing digital technologies and implementing strategies for sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance),” he said.

Quah said the company aims to address pressing industry challenges such as skills shortages and support customers in their digital transformation journey through an extensive partner ecosystem in Malaysia.

According to the statement, the East Asia Zone is comprised of 14 markets including Malaysia and Schneider Electric employs approximately 12,000 people at more than 100 sales, production, logistics and R&D facilities across East Asia.

Pang joined Schneider Electric in 2002 as an Offer Marketer in Low Voltage, and he has held various executive positions, including Vice President of Original Equipment Management (OEM) Business China and Senior Vice President of Industrial Automation in China.

He is a graduate of Lanzhou University of Technology, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Equipment. He also holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA from China Europe International Business School.
