KLANG, April 3 (Bernama) -- Local food manufacturing company EHH Group treated 24 orphans and asnaf children from the Baitul Sakinah As-Shariff to an iftar event in Telok Gong, last night.
EHH Group corporate communications executive, Nismawaty Nurdin, UK said that the event was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes, held annually to strengthen the existing good relations between the company and the local community.
“EHH Group hopes that the iftar meals and the contribution will bring cheer to the children, who are being feted as they prepare to celebrate Aidilfitri next week,” Nismawaty told Bernama.
Also present was Port Klang assemblyman, Azmizam Zaman Huri, who also distributed baju and duit raya to the children.
Apart from strengthening relationships and making friends, Nismawaty said that such events can also raise the children’s spirit of excitement ahead of Aidilfitri.
