TREE TRAGEDY: TAKAFUL INDUSTRY OFFERS EXPEDITED CLAIMS FOR VICTIMS

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) --  The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) and the entire Takaful industry offers expedited claim settlement for victims of the Jalan Sultan Ismail incident yesterday.

Extending their heartfelt condolences to the victims affected by the tragic incident, MTA Chief Executive Officer Mohd Radzuan Mohamed said those involved in the incident are urged to take immediate steps.

"We urge those involved in the incident to take immediate steps, including gathering relevant information such as incident photos, vehicle images or any evidence, seeking medical treatment at hospitals utilizing Takaful health coverage if available.

“...and also notifying relevant Takaful operators regarding claims for death, injury or property damage such as vehicles," he said in a statement here today.

In the 2pm incident, a 47-year-old man died while two others suffered injuries when a huge tree came crushing onto 17 vehicles and damaged the monorail track during a thunderstorm and heavy rain along Jalan Sultan Ismail, here.
