KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 (Bernama) – The organisation of the KPJ Healthcare Expo (KPJHX 2024) at Central Park Mall in Jakarta, from May 16 to 19, serves as a platform for patients and health experts to explore the latest medical excellence and comprehensive healthcare options offered by the KPJ Healthcare Bhd (KPJ) hospital chain.
In a statement today, KPJ said KPJHX 2024 also offers visitors various support options from financial services to logistical assistance and accommodation to ensure a holistic approach to healthcare and well-being.
According to the statement, the expo will also be attended by a network of hospitals under the KPJ Group, and it is part of efforts to prove KPJ's commitment to providing easily accessible and high-quality medical care outside Malaysia.
“The expo will also be an important platform to strengthen medical tourism relations between Malaysia and Indonesia, ensuring that accurate information is shared with Indonesian patients before they consider seeking treatment at KPJ hospitals,” the statement said.
Also present at the expo's opening and launching ceremony were Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin and KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan.
Meanwhile, Chin said the expo marked a new chapter in KPJ’s journey to empower regional health services.
He also announced a strategic partnership between KPJ and Marriott International which was inked yesterday.
‘’I would also like to thank our other line of partners for playing important roles towards the success of KPJHX 2024,” he said.
"The cooperation that has been established can certainly provide extraordinary benefits to the hospitality experience for our patients, combining quality medical services with unparalleled comfort and care," he also said.
According to the statement, the Indonesian market is seen as having great potential and high value to be explored, with KPJ Healthcare having opened representative offices in major cities such as Batam, Bengkalis, Banda Aceh, Pontianak as well as soon to be open office in Pekan Baru.
KPJHX 2024, which also sees the participation of well-known financial and hospitality institutions such as Bank Central Asia, Perisai Listrik National, Marriott International, Association of Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies, Flying Doctor Indonesia and UOB Bank, will travel to Surabaya and other cities in Indonesia next month.
