Hajj Personnel Urged To Raise Quality And Image Of Th

03/06/2024 09:19 AM

MAKKAH, June 3 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Hajj Group 1445/2024 head Datuk Seri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman reminded hajj personnel not to be easily complacent with the successes achieved by the Pilgrims Fund Board (TH).

On the other hand, he called on them to continue to improve the quality of service, especially for the pilgrims and TH's image, apart from enhancing and strengthening the relationship with the Saudi Arabian government.

"We celebrate the achievements we have made, but our struggle is not over yet. It is true that we have been successful since coming from our homeland, for example with e-Hajj and the medical team, but we do not want “to win a battle but lose the war”.

"We want to continue making progress until we succeed in this great struggle. Our journey is not over, our struggle is not over, noble trust still needs to be supported with dedication and sacrifice of time and energy.

"TH will also continue to strive to defend its recognition as the best hajj operator in the world," he said while speaking at a gathering of hajj officers with the head of the Hajj Group at TH Headquarters here today.

The ceremony was attended by more than 200 personnel from all units including the medical team, the College Operations Unit, the External Service Unit, the Customer Service Unit, and the Mayair Unit in addition to the participation of TH personnel in Jeddah, Madinah and Sepang via teleconferencing.

Operation Masyair, which has 13 days left, he said demanded hajj officers to carry out planning and work in a smooth and organised manner to ensure that the pilgrims can complete their wukuf and perform the rituals and obligations of the hajj.

It includes matters of movement, placement, food service and worship, and matters of patient management.

"Therefore, as a hajj officer, do your best, act in accordance with the work process and perform tasks proactively.

"Strengthen the work movement in the team, smoothen the service, extend help politely so that the pilgrims can feel the presence of the officers and be polite to them as Dhuyufurrahman," he said.

Syed Saleh also hopes that the staff can comply with the standards, procedures of all stakeholders in carrying out responsible and proactive duties to prevent potential non-compliance in an effort to maintain world-class hajj services.

At the event, he also launched the Nikmatul Khair Fund for the 1445H-2024 season to enable TH staff to donate to pilgrims, especially those in need, as a sign of gratitude for being with the pilgrims in the holy land.
