Uniten to Host Open Day 2024 This Weekend

KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) -- Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) will host its Open Day 2024 at the Administration Building, Putrajaya Campus tomorrow and Sunday to provide insights into its offered courses and campus life for interested individuals.

In a statement today, UNITEN said the event, from 9 am to 5 pm, offers students, parents and the public the opportunity to learn more about the university, which ranks among the top 15 universities in Malaysia and was recently listed in the QS World University Rankings 2025.

“This Open Day not only provides the public with exposure to the university’s academic programmes and facilities but also offers the entire university community a chance to engage with the public.

“The programmes will include exhibition and educational and career talks from the College of Engineering, College of Computing and Informatics, UNITEN Business School, College of Graduate Studies and College of Continuing Education,” it said.

There will also be Professional Huffaz interview sessions, educational financing advice, campus tours and technology showcases, including an electric vehicle exhibition by Perodua featuring the first Myvi conversion, known as ‘emo-1’.

At the same time, special offers are also provided to visitors, including immediate offer letters to qualified applicants.

“UNITEN offers various aid packages and sponsorships to support students in achieving academic excellence, including the Bright Merit-YCU Scholarship for foundation programme, YCU Access Scholarship for diploma students, MARA YTP Ulul Albab for tahfiz + foundation programme and bachelor’s degree programmes and the Yayasan Tenaga Nasional Prime Scholarship for all study programmes,” it added.

School leavers still searching for suitable study programmes can interact directly with UNITEN lecturers and academic staff, who will provide information on course selection based on qualifications.

Meanwhile, in the same statement, UNITEN also noted that the university, which had a graduate employability rate of 97.3 per cent last year, continues to be recognised as a top choice by local and international companies.
