KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 (Bernama) -- Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) has allocated about RM60,000 under the Malaysia at Heart (MyHeart) initiative to support the Invest4Good programme in Lahad Datu, Sabah, starting this August.

In a statement today, TalentCorp announced funding for a programme in collaboration with Social Value Malaysia (SVM) with the aim to empower 60 Lahad Datu school teachers to train over 120 pupils in Robotics and AI fundamentals.

The statement highlighted that the MyHeart initiative by TalentCorp acts as a platform connecting the Malaysian diaspora community, with the goal of harnessing their potential to make significant contributions to the nation's advancement.

"It operates through five key modules: collaboration, global networking, career opportunities, incentives and facilitation for Malaysians seeking to return home. These initiatives are designed to maximise Malaysian talent and drive towards establishing a dynamic talent ecosystem in Malaysia," read the statement.

In the statement, Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong emphasised that Invest4Good in Sabah plays a pivotal role in expanding Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education opportunities for schoolchildren.

“The MyHeart initiative by TalentCorp shows the ministry's commitment to developing talent and human capital, encompassing Malaysians both at home and abroad.

"We take pride in supporting Malaysians overseas to contribute their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our homeland," he said.

TalentCorp also launched MyHeart Innovate, a three-month programme aimed at Malaysians abroad looking to establish startups in Malaysia.

"The partnership between Cradle and BEYOND4 provides a structured pathway for aspiring entrepreneurs to acquire entrepreneurial skills, gain deeper market insights, access experienced mentors and industry experts and explore potential business financing," the statement added.

Malaysians residing in the country can apply to join the TalentCorp MyNext Innovate programme.
