KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) FC received a timely boost ahead of two tournaments when Klinik Syifa 24 Jam extended its sponsorship for a second year.
Bernama FC also received sponsorships from two companies which print and supply jerseys, Hotspot Printing and Firstprint Malaysia. Their sponsorship is in the form of training and match attire and merchandise.
Klinik Syifa 24 Jam managing director Muammar Eusouffi Zainol Abidin said they have agreed to sponsor RM10,000 for Bernama FC as the football club gears up for the three-day Federal Territory Government Servants Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSWIP) Football Tournament starting tomorrow (July 19) and the HAWANA Inter-Media Football Tournament in October.
"Alhamdulillah, this is the second year we are collaborating with Bernama in sponsoring its football team. Our sponsorship in the first year was RM5,000 and we raised it to RM10,000 this year.
"So, we hope that such collaboration can help Bernama FC go far in the tournaments they are competing in,” he said at the Bernama FC sponsorship announcement at Wisma Bernama today.
Also present were Bernama deputy editor-in-chief (News Service) Nasriah Darus, Bernama deputy editor-in-chief (Economic News Service) Azlina Aziz, Hotspot Printing managing director Muhammad Azwan Jamil and Firstprint Malaysia marketing executive Mohamad Sharul Md Sawal.
Meanwhile, Bernama editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, who is also Bernama FC president, said the club is grateful for the sponsorships and thanked the companies for their generosity.
"Two sponsors (Hotspot Printing and Firstprint Malaysia), who are present today, have indicated their willingness to sponsor not just the Bernama football club but also our other teams, like badminton, netball and the Bernama Bikers Club.
"This helps the Bernama management to ensure that Bernama employees not only perform their core duties but also constantly maintain their health through participation in sports events,” he said.
