KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) -- The prestigious Tourism Industry Award (TIA) 2024 will take place at the renowned Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur, celebrating outstanding achievements and innovations within the global tourism sector.
This year’s the event promises to bring together industry leaders, influencers and stakeholders from around the world to recognise excellence and foster the future of travel and hospitality.
TIA 2024 will honor exceptional contributions across various categories, including Best Destination, Sustainable Tourism Leader, Innovation in Travel, Best Hospitality Provider, Cultural and Heritage Tourism, Tourism Marketing Campaign, Adventure Tourism Excellence and many more.
These awards highlight the resilience, creativity and dedication of those who have significantly impacted the industry.
More than 80 awards will be presented to the industry players for their excellence and support in the development of the tourism industry in Malaysia.
According to President of Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MITDA) Kapten Mahadzir Tan Sri Mansor, for the first time, this prestigious award is organised by Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MITDA) and Santai Travel.
“The Tourism Industry Award 2024 is not just a celebration of past achievements, but a beacon guiding the future of our industry.
“By recognizing and rewarding excellence, we aim to inspire continuous innovation and sustainability in tourism,” he said.
According to Organizing Chairman of TIA 2024 Datuk Emmy Suraya Hussein, the awards recognises and honours tourism industry players for outstanding and innovative products and services.
It also acts as an incentive for participants to strive for the highest level of professionalism and quality in both products and services.
“The awards will be presented at a gala ceremony, offering an opportunity for industry leaders to connect, share insights, and explore future collaborations.
“Organizing the event is in line with our efforts to support the development of the tourism industry so that it is always competitive in the tourism industry, thus enhancing the country's economy.
“The event will highlight success stories and best practices from the winners, providing valuable insights and inspiration for the broader industry,” Emmy Suraya added.
