LAHAD DATU, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- The ongoing Kembara Sains Borneo 2024 continued with learning activity modules for pre-school children here today.

National Science Centre (PSN) director Mohammad Fuad Rahman said the programme is being held at the Open University Malaysia Lahad Datu, in collaboration with the Lahad Datu Community Development Department (KEMAS).

Mohammad Fuad said through this innovative education programme, PSN shared non-formal science teaching and learning (PdP) methods with interactive activities in the classroom.

"The programme’s objective is to reveal the delivery methods of science and mathematics teachers through a non-formal science learning approach,” he said in a statement today.

"At the same time, it will expose educators to hands-on, hearts-on and minds-on methods of delivering science and mathematics.”

According to Mohammad Fuad, another objective of the programme is to increase efforts to attract genuine interest in the learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.

He also said that with this programme, educators can apply these methods shared by PSN in the PdP  sessions thus increasing student involvement in classroom activities.
