Queen Visits Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia today visited the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex on Jalan Conlay here.

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, Her Majesty was warmly welcomed upon arrival by Kraftangan Malaysia director-general Datuk ‘Ainu Sham Ramli, deputy director-general (development) Abdul Halim Mohd Ali and deputy director-general (operations) Saadiah Mat Dahri.

The Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex is a popular destination for domestic and international tourists, showcasing a variety of Malaysian craft products such as textiles, forest-based items, metalwork, woodcraft, and ceramics.

There are two other Craft Complexes, located in Johor Bahru and Langkawi, which are operated by the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
